Wow MAY was a busy month. Got a lot done this month to the yard despite the rain.

We started with putting up a new fence around the backyard. We had been wanting a new fence for some time and decided to go ahead this summer and knock it out.
It would keep the dogs from bothering anyone, keep them safe at home, and offer some privacy for us too.

After the fence was complete I had to trim the older fence in the backyard and apply some 2×4 wire. As you will see from the pics there was a huge brush pile and it burned really well.

Then I got started on building the dogs (DL and Louie) a new dog house.  Its pimpin! They each have their own room and they both took to it before the shingles were on! Each one claiming a side.

I had been wanting to do this for a very long time, and finally got around to doing it.

Right after that I got 6 yards of gravel and made new parking spot. Then I got a trailer load of gravel and made some walkways in the backyard.

After that Melanie painted the shutters and doors a nice red color and she also painted the columns. Next we did some landscaping around the front putting down the weedout paper and mulch. Later I added stepping stones out to the driveway where eventually I will create a small bridge over the ditch.

I added some motion lighting this past weekend. I still have a lot that I want to do.

I thought I would take the time to explain what a blog is for those that do not understand or know. In a recent emailing I did, some replies where “I really didn’t know what you were doing, but I’ve read the articles”. Well see what I am doing is really nothing…ha.

Seriously though all my website is about is just what I am doing, what I plan on doing, or have done. Just an online journal really for all my local freinds, friends that have moved off,  family members, and people in general that visit the site from the world wide web that want to follow me. More on that HERE.

I do it because I like to write and for those of you that do not block ads with your browsers, I have place ads on my site in hopes of generating enough income to cover the hosting fees associated with the site.

So what exactly is a blog?
By definition A blog (a contraction of the term “Web log“) is a Web site, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

So you see each post that is displayed on the site is the most recent. The older ones are further down the list and you can access those through the archives on the right or at the top of the page, or from the calander.

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketches (sketchblog), videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting), which are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, one which consists of blogs with very short posts like tiwtter. As of December 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 112 million blogs.  With the advent of video blogging, the word blog has taken on an even looser meaning — that of any bit of media wherein the subject expresses his opinion or simply talks about something.

Hey all, I think when I last chatted about Louie, he had gotten home from the vet on Monday and just ran off without even saying thanks for getting his eye stitched up. Well that was on Monday.

I was getting worried about him Tuesday and went riding on my around the block looking for him and could not find him anywhere. I was fearing that I might find him laid up in a ditch somewhere or found victim of the highway, but I didn’t thank goodness.

Wednesday, I fired up the four-wheeler and went riding to look for him, and this time I wanted to ride through the fields nearby and see if maybe he was hurt or injured or even dead somewhere. If he was I would be sad, but at least I would know, you know what I mean?

While on the four-wheeler I was able to go places that I couldn’t in the truck and I managed to find him!

He was at a ladies house who had a some big dog, I forget what kind it was, but she was in heat and had Louie crazy! The lady said she tried to run him off several times and that she didnt see a tag on him. Well he has a tag, but Im sure he wouldnt let anyone close.

He came right to me as if he missed me greatly, and wanted to hop in my lap as I sat on the four-wheeler and thats not like him, because he hates the four-wheeler.

I grabbed him and eased home. He didn’t really like the ride home, but once we were home I put him on a long runner cable near his dog house.

He has been howling wanting to get back over there to his girlfriend. He will get over it soon.

I need him to be safe at home, and I still have medicine to give him every 12 hours for his eye, so girlfriends will have to wait.

Hey all! Sorry I have not posted much this week. I have been busy doing lots of things since I have been off from work.

I get three glorious weeks off for Christmas and one week has already vanished!

I have been doing things like making Christmas presents, yes making them, working on some cool house projects, all of which I plan on blogging about later.

Somedays I wake up and wonder what mountain I should climb, or where should I bike to, or if I’m really bored I’ll swim laps around the globe and wrestle sharks.

Today however I woke up and decided to upgrade my fire pit in the backyard.

See I had this fire ring for years and it did fine, but I always wanted more. Wanted it to look a lot better.

I went to Lowes and Home Depot and found some stones that were suitable for the project at only $1.88 each.

I got 45 and ended up only using 40.

The most important part is to get your base ring nice and level then the rest just falls right into place.

I am very excited about the new Terminator Salvation Trailer.

This movie is going to absolutly rock if you are a fan of the whole Terminator thing.

In other news….
I have been busy as usual with doing things for the Visions ShowChoir Christmas set.

Little Jack is about maxed out in size at about 11 lbs. He is so awesome in all the little things he does.
It’s really cute how he brings toys to me when I come to show me he wants me to play with him.

  

I recently had my good friend “Wild Bill” from Memphis come down and spend some time with me and some friends. That was a welcome visit. We had fun catching up.

My brother in law and his wife came over from Arizona for the Thanksgiving Holidays. We really enjoyed their stay and hope they come back soon. While they were down we went to the Tupelo Flea Market and did a little shopping.  We also took in a really good meal at Vanellis Greek and Italian restuarant.

Well thats about it for now, I need to get to work on my Christmas List to Santa.

It seems Nikki Cox loves collagen, and cant get enough of this stuff.

If you will remember back in September I couldn’t help but notice the new craze going around Hollywood
You remember… don’t you… the craze involving pumping your face with as much collagen as you could stuff in there?

Only problem with this craze is that it cannot be successfully done with making yourself look like a  characture.

I will never understand why someone that already looks great would want to do this to themselves.

Wow what to write about this morning? I have soo much in my head right now, and I am having a hard time getting it onto this blank page. I am supposed to be seizing the page right, and I am finding it difficult.

Let me try to just recap what has happened over the past several weeks while I sip on this coffee.

I think the last time I wrote on this blog it was about camping and then I followed up on Jack.
Well since then, I went camping again and this time it was very cool outside. I think it dipped to about 41F the next time I went camping and I realized I need a -0- degree sleeping bag.

I was very chilly that night and so was DL, he went with me. I also realized that my sleeping bag was way too tight. See normally I take two and open them up like comforters but this time I used it for was it was and its way to tight.

Since I brought up Jack, remember he was in the October cutest pet contest on mycutepetpics.com.

Well oddly he did not win. I don’t see how either. He had the most votes, then with a week to go, the site owners said that it was not really about the votes and that they felt the voting system had been compromised. They wanted people to leave a comment on who should win. Well he had the most comments too. They went on to say that ultimately the audience out there in the realworld would not be the end all be all in deciding the winner.  It would be up to about 4 other judges and the audience would be the 5th.

He is getting big though. He has really grown! He is about 11lbs now and probably at his full potential.

I’m really not a sore loser at all, but I feel that Jack was overlooked. Its so crazy. He is so adorable. Anywhere he goes he is a star, people love him and think he is soo cute.

OK moving on. I finally got my Tom Tom Go 730 GPS system set up in my car and I will have to write about that soon. Its very awesome to say the least. Check back soon for a post about that.

Also as many of you know I do web site design ( I don’t claim to be a pro at it) and computer maintenance on the side ever since I was laid off. Its been doing pretty well for me, and I keep picking up new clients. As of today I have 5 clients I am working on, 4 personal sites that I am doing for other incomes and things.

Guess what else? I just recently went back to the working world as an IT specialist too!

I always seem to have a lot on my plate. I even have some stage sets to build for the Grenada High School Visions Showchoir to complete before the Christmas show.

So to recap, I have a new job to adjust to, lots of websites to construct for clients, lots of items to complete the stage for the showchoirs Christmas show, and all the other things that are on a normal day to day basis around me which is a lot.

Dont you just hate to hear someone say they are bored when there is actually soo much to do?

I don’t think I have enough going on… do I ?

I’m back! Yes I’ve been pretty busy and finally found some time where I felt like writing. As I begin to write this, Its 11:44 pm on a Sunday night and after a few twitter updates I felt like getting you all caught up on what I have been up to.

For starters I finished the stage set for the High School show choir. All that needs to be done to it now is have it assembled and painted Dec 7th when its closer to show time. I built a mock up manger, a hot chocolate stand, and a moving 12×12 wall. This is all part of the Christmas show coming up.

I have been really enjoying my new job. Especially the time off. Thats how come I am able to stay up late on a Sunday night writing. I am off for a whole week for Thanksgiving Holidays!!!

Speaking of this new job I must say that I have had a run on good luck lately. First stroke of good luck was getting this new job. I find myself really lucky to get a job in these terrible economic times that we are in right now, especially one that I like.

Second stroke of good luck was that I listed an old beat up vintage fender bass guitar on ebay, and not 30 mins after I listed it, I got a message from someone wanting to buy it outright. To make a long story on that one shorter. I managed to make a small fortune on that and was able to buy me and my wife brand new  iPhones. We sure do love these devices. They are truly amazing.

I think I will write new post about the iPhone and stuff later on this week.

Oh and I have not forgotten about writing about my Tom Tom GO 730. I need to do that asap, its really neat too.
